Single User/General Installation

Our download page has links to an EXE installer (which can be used with both 32-Bit and 64-Bit versions of Outlook) as well as links to 32-Bit and 64-Bit MSI installers.

We recommend you to use the EXE installer if the installation will be done manually on each computer.

Small Networks Installation with Customized Settings

Use the following steps to install QuickFile over your network to multiple users.

1. Create a Reg file with the settings you need.
• Install QuickFile on one computer
• Configure the settings that you need from the Settings screen.
• Create a reg file by clicking the Export Settings button. From the Setting screen, Go to Advanced tab and click on Export Settings - Reg File button..
  
2. Copy the QuickFile installer and the reg file from step 1 to a shared location on your network.
3. (Optional) You can create a batch file that runs the installer and the reg file if you want. Your batch file should be similar to the following.
• msiexec.exe /i "\\shared_location\quickfile.msi" /quiet
  reg import "\\shared_location\QuickFile_Settings.reg"
4. Run the QuickFile installer and then the reg file from each computer (or run the batch file if you created it).

Note: You will need to have Administrator Permission to run the file on the computers.

Enterprise Deployment and Administration

It is not practical to individually install the software if you have many users. There are three ways in which you can deploy QuickFile with customised settings in larger organizations.

Use Group Policy to deploy the reg file
Enterprise clients can create a reg file with the relevant settings and then use Group Policy Objects (GPO) to run the installer and the Reg file on relevant workstations.

Customised MSI Installer
The team at Standss can also create a customised MSI if you need to install to many users. The customized MSI will contain the company’s registration information as well as any settings that you wish to deploy to your users.

Use Group Policy Preferences or Template (ADMX)
Install the software on all the computers and then use Group Policy to push out the settings you want.
